In partnership with the Ministries of Health in Ethiopia and Uganda, Kissito Healthcare International strengthens and develops regional health delivery systems focusing on the integration of safe drinking water, sanitation, health education, and health services delivery. Kissito initiatives focus on sustainability and outcome replication. Kissito’s hospital operations in the Manafwa District of Uganda serve over 3,500 patients each month. In the Kamashi Zone, BGRS, Ethiopia, Kissito is building a referral hospital and health delivery system which will serve the needs of over 1 million people. Kissito’s Ethiopian and Ugandan initiatives are particularly focused on Maternal and Child Health and Proper Nutrition through the establishment of effective basic Emergency Obstetrical and Newborn Care and malnutrition stabilization centers. Kissito funding includes private donations exceeding $2 million and collaborations with public resources such as the Global Fund. Kissito works with a wide range of governmental, academic, and non-governmental organizations in executing our global mission.
