Our biggest challenge today is finding and keeping the best people. Every Kissito TEAM member plays a critical role in our outcomes and success. We must have the best people in each role throughout the organization. The shortage of health care workers has led us to establish a unique commitment in staff training and career development. The Kissito Scholar program is a partnership with the University of Texas where we will fast track Doctoral Candidates in nursing who in turn will become UT professors training our nurses of the future. Kissito is investing heavily in providing training throughout the organization: We are active in offering our own physician based Continuing Medical Education “CME” programs in geriatrics, training Certified Nursing Assistants, and providing nursing scholarships around the world. Volunteerism:

We are constantly being asked to do more with less and that has provided Kissito with some major challenges to face in the future. It has forced us an organization to seek new and innovative ways to accomplish our goals and deliver excellent patient care. With that in mind we have heavily invested in building on our volunteer efforts. Our volunteer efforts are guided by our Quality of Life Directors in every market. They have comprehensive plans on how to recruit, retain, and reward our community volunteers in an effort to enhance our patients quality of life.
