While work makes up a large portion of an employee’s life, we believe that a balance between work and play is essential in maintaining quality performance and the fun atmosphere in which we work. Kissito recognizes that employees have diverse needs for time off work, and we have a flexible approach to time off where personal days, sick days and vacation days are combined into one paid personal time allotment.
Based on a 40-hour work week, annual PTO allotments are:
0-4.99 years of service = 15 days
5-9.99 years of service = 20 days
10 plus years of service = 25 days
PTO is pro-rated based on each employee’s commitment of hours per week, with a set maximum accumulation if overtime hours are worked.

Kissito has designated six company paid holidays:
New Year’s Day Independence Day Thanksgiving Day
Memorial Day Labor Day Christmas Day

Kissito Healthcare supports employees who wish to continue their education and grow within their professions. Kissito provides financial support to eligible employees who are pursuing a pre-approved degree, certificate program or individual coursework. Employees pay their tuition costs up front and are then reimbursed.

To provide income protection while an employee carries out his/her civic responsibility, Kissito provides the difference between jury duty pay and an employee’s regular day’s pay for time spent serving on jury duty. Income protection for time spent on jury duty is provided for a maximum of 15 work days in any 12-month period.

Experiencing the loss of a family member is very difficult, and Kissito realizes that employees may need time away from work to begin the recovery process. Employees receive three days of paid bereavement leave for the death of an immediate family member.

Employees may purchase short term disability insurance through payroll deduction. Kissito’s short term disability plan provides payment equivalent to 60% of an employee’s weekly wage for employees who are unable to work due to non-work related illness, injury or disability. Participants are able to receive benefits after fourteen consecutive calendar days of disability.

Employees may purchase long term disability insurance coverage through payroll deduction. Kissito’s long term disability plan provides payment equivalent to 60% of an employee’s monthly wage for employees who are unable to work due to non-work related illness, injury or disability. Participants are able to receive benefits after 90 consecutive calendar days of disability.

Employees may participate in group life insurance coverage, including an accidental death and dismemberment policy. Kissito will provide eligible employees life insurance coverage in an amount equal to 1.5 times his/her annual salary.

Employees that desire additional life insurance coverage may purchase additional amounts through payroll deduction. Dependent life insurance coverage and spousal life insurance coverage is also available.

Kissito has excellent insurance programs. We currently offer various options through Blue Cross / Blue Shield and other companies, and will soon be implementing Blue Cross / Blue Shield Anthem KeyCare PPO organization-wide. We contribute 80% of the employee’s group health insurance coverage costs. Coverage for the employee’s spouse and eligible dependents is also available.

Kissito has excellent group dental insurance. Employees contribute 100% of the premium through payroll deduction, and coverage for the employee’s spouse and eligible dependents is also available.

Kissito provides a 401(k) retirement savings plan to help employees accumulate financial resources for retirement. The plan allows employees to contribute up to 15% of gross pay on a pre-tax basis, subject to annual IRS limitations. Employees control their investment choices and may reallocate investments daily if desired. (Employees at least 21 years of age are eligible for this benefit the first day of the calendar month following 90 daysof service.)
